OğuzTV:On July 17, 2017 the South Azerbaijani woman activist, Safiye Garabaghi was arrested by Iran’s security forces in the city of Zanjan. She has taken to a secret place. The reason for her arrest is not clear, but the security forces have blamed her provoking population in the region against the government of Iran and threatening the national security, these are the blames all the activist have been charged in recent years. Safiye Garabaghi has done many researches based on the women rights in South Azerbaijan and her forbidden mother tongue. She’s written about her mother who has watched TV mutedly almost whole her life, because she doesn’t understand Farsi.

Iran’s Persian regime has increased its control and pressure on the South Azerbaijani activists. Last week the Revolutionary Court of Iran called some of the activist to attend the court.
Esrafil Fathzadeh, Saleh Molla Abbasi, Mortaza Mohammadi, Beytollah Barzgar, Meysam Jolani, Mansour Seyfi, Akbar Aboulzad, Soleyman Kazemi, Hamed Allahverdipour, Arash Jafari, Ebrahim Nouri and Alireza Changizi are the South Azerbaijanis who must attend the court in Aguest 8, 2017, 10 am the local time. Almost three years ago on February 21, 2014, in the International Mother Language Day Iran’s security forces arrested more than 80(eighty) activists who were celebrating the International Mother Language Day. The security forces of the regime entered in to the private house, where the ceremony was holding, with weapons and tear gas. They have been tortured many times during their arrest and have blamed threatening the national security of the territory and being in contact with foreign forces. The families of the activists have been target for consecutive torture and they have been harassed by the security forces many times.
